M3 Lab Berkeley

M3 Lab is a research lab at UC Berkeley's Environmental Planning and Landscape Architecture department, investigating the impacts of urban heat and pollution island effects on the air in residential areas.

I created a brand identity and logo for an online education platform, team uniforms and air quality sensors. I also visualized complex data as approachable GIS maps and infographics for a wide variety of audiences including students, educators, scientists, and community members.

I created a brand identity and logo for an online education platform, team uniforms and air quality sensors. I also visualized complex data as approachable GIS maps and infographics for a wide variety of audiences including students, educators, scientists, and community members.

Problem:

We needed to identify participants willing to host air quality sensors and complete surveys over several months, as well as transform dense data into an accessible educational database for local residents.

solution:

I designed a friendly, approachable visual identity to build trust and credibility during the community outreach process. I also helped create

Results:

Logo and brand design for merchandise, website, and print materials, grant applications securing $35,000 in funding, survey design and distribution, air quality sensor assembly, and data visualized for education.
